Prophecies about Muhammad in Bible

The prophecy about Muhammad in Bible was a confirmation of his prophethood. Because of that, the people of Ahli Kitab such as the Jews and the Christians will believe in him. The prophecy which said about him was not explicit (by saying his name) but stored in the full-of-allegory words. From his characteristics we are able to see whether the prophecies were about Muhammad or not.
What we see later are prophecies about the coming of a latter day prophet. Someone who would become leader and fulfiller of God's treatise after elapsing 500 years without the coming of prophet.
His coming was a good news for human race. He came to free them from the shackle of injustice. He came to save them from every hardship and suffering. He brought a new teaching which was not in contradiction with the previous prophets' teachings (monotheism). He was like a relay runner who was in the end of prophethood line. He must come so that he could reach the finish line and finish his mission.
Prophethood was a mandate which Allah gave to his chosen servants. They propagated the teaching of God with the treatise which was given by Allah. They came to ask their people to the righteousness and to guide them to the path which was loved by Allah. With the existence of prophethood, every man in the world will perform activity and religious duties as commanded by Allah.
Because God who sent them was only one, then their mission and aim was only one. Their mission and aim was just to uphold worship to only Allah.
When Allah sent down Adam from heaven, he became a man who worshipped Allah and including his sons. They all followed their father by worshipping Allah. And it elapsed a long time and it came to the time of Noah. In that time, most of the people had left the worship of Allah and worshipped the idols they made. Then, Allah sent Noah to warn them for their sinful deeds. Allah ordered him to bring them back to the worship of Allah. And that what was happening from generation to generation, if a society had left the teaching of God (monotheism), Allah would send a prophet to warn them. We can see how the teaching of the Israelite prophets, all of their teaching was pure monotheism. There was not among them who asked to worship two gods, three gods, or even one hundred gods. All of them commanded the Israelis to worship Allah, the one God. Jesus was also sent by Allah to worship him. But, as the time went, his original teaching was altered by the people who didn't know him. They made his teaching closer to polytheism than monotheism.
It elapsed a long time until finally came to the period of the Prophet Muhammad. In that time, people were grouped into three clusters. The first were the polytheists. They were purely polytheists who didn't know the teaching of God. They didn't know the teaching of the prophets and worship many gods. The second were the Christians, they were the followers of Christ but, their teaching had deviated from the teaching of god (monotheism). They believed there were three gods that must be worshipped these are Allah, Jesus as his son, and the Holy Spirit. The last were the Jews. They, of course, still preserved the teaching of god, monotheism, but, they didn't believe Jesus as Messiah.
These three groups were actually in deviation. They actually didn't know where the true path was and which ways that would guide them to God. What they knew that their teaching was the most correct but, the righteousness was stained by human hands. The teaching they believed had deviated from the teaching of Allah and his messengers.
As Allah's decision which had happened previously, He sent a prophet to warn them for their false deeds and faith. He sent a prophet to bring them back to the correct path. He sent Muhammad to return them to his wished path. He didn't come to create a new teaching or to make a religious group which competed with other groups but, he came merely to open their eyes to see the truth, a clear and evident truth. He came with the teaching of Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and the teachings of the previous prophets. The teachings which became firmness and righteousness and believed by all people who followed the prophets.
He was the last prophet sent by Allah and as final and fulfiller of the prophets' teachings. The teachings which he brought was complete and fulfilled from all of the teachings that had ever existed. And it was very possible if he was prophesied by the prophets. Prophecy is a typical feature of a book named Bible. Those prophecies will prove whether the prophet was sent by Allah or he just claimed from himself. The evidence which declared that Muhammad had been written in Bible was a verse in sura Al-A'raaf,
"Those who follow the Messenger, the unlettered prophet, whom they find written in what they have of the Torah and the Gospel, who enjoins upon them what is right and forbids them what is wrong and makes lawful for them the good things and prohibits for them the evil and relieves them of their burden and the shackles which were upon them. So they who have believed in him, honored him, supported him and followed the light which was sent down with him – it is those who will be the successful. (Al-A’raaf : 157)
Assumption which said that there was no prophecy about Muhammad in Bible was a fallacy which happened because of ignorance or concealment of information which they actually knew. We can see the attitude of some Ahli Kitab (Christian and Jews) who actually knew the signs of prophethood in Muhammad but they didn't recognize it. Those prophecies were actually known by some people who read the holy books but they didn't recognize them. It was said in Holy Koran that there was some Ahli Kitab (Christian and Jews) who witnessed Muhammad and they also knew the signs of his prophethood,
"Those to whom We gave the Scripture know him as they know their own sons. But indeed, a party of them conceal the truth while they know [it].” (Al-Baqoroh : 146)
They recognized him as they recognized their children. They knew precisely the characteristic and personality of Muhammad as they saw in their holy books. But, because of his teaching was totally in contradiction with their false teachings, they refused him. Moreover, they also concealed the prophecies and information from their people and group.
One thing that should be noted, prophecy always uses symbolic and allegory words. The words demand us to find out the contained meaning deeper. If a verse directly informed in clear and evident way, then it was not the prophecy which we mean. The prophecy will make the readers curious and always waits for the coming.
