Muhammad in Bible (John 16: 7-15)

But now I go my way to him that sent me; and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou? But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart. Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me; Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged. I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you. (King James Version)

            These verses explained about someone whom Jesus promised to come after his ascension to heaven. He was called by Jesus as The Comforter. His coming was a gift for human race. He would bring complete truth about Jesus and his teachings. He would also come to reprove the people of the world concerning three things about Jesus, these are sin, righteousness, and judgment. He would come to correct the understanding related to these three things.
Comforter, whose in Greek language called παράκλητος (paráklētos), was someone who comforted, helped, and advocated. As a meaning, one who consoles or comforts, one who encourages or uplifts; hence refreshes, and/or one who intercedes on our behalf as an advocate in court.[1] Some Theologians said that the supposed Comforter was Holy Spirit and another said that he was Paul.
            Some Writers such as Martin Lings and David Benjamin Keldani have another argument. According to them, the Comforter was Prophet Muhammad. Keldani said that the word paráklētos was a substitution of Periklutos, which means the praised one and the admirable one. And, if it was translated to Arabic, it will be Ahmad , another name of Prophet Muhammad.

            But now I go my way to him that sent me; and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou? But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow  hath filled your heart.

            Jesus said that he would depart to God who had sent him. He couldn't refuse the will of his God. He also couldn't answer where he would go because, all had been decided. If his disciples knew that he would depart, then they would be filled with sorrow. They had struggled to uphold the religion of Allah. They had gone through the grief and happiness in the journey of mission together. Therefore, when Jesus said that he would depart, he was afraid his disciples would be sorrowful. But, Jesus said that later, there would come a comforter who helped this religion.

            Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

           His departure was better for them. Because, if he didn't depart, the Comforter wouldn't come. If the Comforter came, he would reprove the wrong understanding of the people. He would come to show the whole truth and say the things to come.
           Then, Jesus said that the Comforter would come to reprove people's understanding concerning three things, these are sin, righteousness, and judgment.

            And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:

           One of the missions which the Comforter brought when he came was to reprove the people's understanding concerning three things above. What is actually the meaning of reprove? And why did the Comforter need to reprove their understanding?. In Merriam-Webster dictionary, reprove means to scold or correct usually gently or with kindly intent and the second meaning is to express disapproval of something. Jesus said that the Comforter would correct the people's understanding about sin, righteousness, and judgment. He would correct the faith concerning these three things.
It means we can say that the understanding of some people concerning sin, righteousness, and judgment were in fallacies. That's why the Comforter would come to reprove their understanding. The Comforter would come to reprove their understanding because there was something wrong concerning these three things. The Comforter didn't come to add or decrease Jesus' teaching but, he came merely to reprove the false understanding. He would also correct their faith so that it should be in accordance with Jesus' teaching.
As substitution for the correction he made, the Comforter would say the true meaning of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He would say the correct understanding about the three things.
He would come to bring them back to the true understanding. Understanding which was in accordance with Allah's teaching. Understanding which was in accordance with the true Jesus' teaching. And, understanding which would bring them to the path of righteousness.

And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:

First, the Comforter would come to reprove the understanding of people who didn't believe with Jesus,

            Of sin, because they believe not on me;

            When Jesus propagated his teaching to his people, not all people believe that he was a Prophet and Messiah. Some people in that time didn't believe with his prophethood and rejected all of his teachings, especially they whom Jesus called as Pharisee. And generally, they which the verse meant were some Jews who didn't believe with his prophethood. They believed what Jesus was doing was an offence and violation against law of God.
Jesus said that later, when the Comforter came, he would reprove their faith about him. He would warn them for their disbelief towards Jesus' prophethood. He would say that they were the true sinners because disbelieved with Jesus' prophethood. He would assert that Jesus was the messenger of Allah. He was the promised Messiah for them.
Why did the Comforter need to reprove the people who didn't believe with Jesus?, why did he need to warn their disbelief?. The answer was, because they, until now, still assumed Jesus' mission as a form of violation (sin). And the worst was they assumed what they did by disbelief to Jesus was a form of kindness. They didn't feel sinful for their disbelief against Jesus. He had ever said that his followers would be tortured after his departure,

"They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service." (John: 16:2)

            They felt that their disbelief and deeds towards Jesus and his followers was a form of devotion to Allah. Then, the Comforter would come to say they were the true sinners. The Comforter would come to correct the true meaning of sin. He would say that the true sin was by not believing to Jesus. That was the true sin,

            Of sin, because they believe not on me;

           The Prophet Muhammad was appropriate with the characteristic of Comforter that Jesus said. He was given revelation to reprove the Jews’ understanding about Jesus. It was proven by the verse in Koran which warned the disbelief of Jews to Jesus,

            “And for their disbelief (towards Jesus) and their saying against Mary a great slander (adultery)” (Annisa : 156)

            Allah said that the unbelievers of Jews refused the prophethood of Jesus. They, until now, didn't want to accept the prophethood and messiahship of Jesus. That happened because they believed Jesus was not the promised Messiah and they also believed the mission which Jesus did was a form of sin. They rejected Jesus whereas he was the promised messiah for them. Until now, they still assumed the mission which Jesus did was a form of sin[2].
            Even though there is no Pharisee in this time but its legacy and faith were still preserved. The Pharisee believed Jesus as false Messiah and this belief is stil assumed by the Jews who live today.
            Allah told Jesus to use the term “Sin” because the Jews believe Jesus as someone who taught different and opposing teaching. Jesus was assumed as someone who led the Israelites to deviation. Therefore they believed his teachings and mission as a sin.
            In fact, the true sin was by not believing to Jesus,

           Of sin, because they believe not on me;

           That's why the Comforter needed to reprove them. He needed to reprove them because them until now still assumed the mission which Jesus did was a form of sin. Whereas, the true sin was by not believing to Jesus.
           The Prophet Muhammad was appropriate with the Comforter whom Jesus said. He reproved the Jews’ belief about sin and asserted that disbelief to Jesus was the true sin,

            “And for their disbelief (towards Jesus) and their saying against Mary a great slander (adultery).” (Annisa:156)

            And he said again,

            Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;

            Then, Jesus said that the Comforter would reprove the people's understanding about righteousness. He would come to correct the people's understanding concerning righteousness.
            So, what did he mean as righteousness? What was the meaning of righteousness which he said?

           Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;

            The righteousness which Jesus meant was the righteousness about the event of his departure from the world (the death of Jesus). That was what he meant as righteousness. The righteousness which believed that Jesus was crucified.
            The belief of crucifixion of Jesus has been believed for thousand years. It had influenced on every principle and teaching of the Christians. They believed that Jesus had died on the cross. They believe that he died on the cross for the sin of his followers. And also for the Jews, they believed that Jesus was crucified. According to them, Jesus was one of many false messiahs who had ever claimed as savior. Therefore, he was sentenced to death.
           This belief was a righteousness for them. This belief had been assumed as historical fact by the Christians and the Jews. This belief had been believed as righteousness by them.
            Allah told Jesus to use the term "righteousness" because the event of the crucifixion really happened. People, in the time of his period, had seen someone whom they thought Jesus was crucified. And the people who witnessed it recorded the event by writing it. It was an event that believed as a mere fact. Then, it was bloomed and enriched to be another story of the significant beliefs of the Christians. The faith in crucifixion evolved to be sin redemption and worship to him. They believed that the death of Jesus in the cross is the holy righteousness. The righteousness which has become central tenet of the Christians.
            Then, if the Comforter came, he would correct that righteousness. He would reprove the belief which they assumed as the righteousness,

            Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;

            The Comforter would correct that belief and tell what really happened, that was Jesus was not crucified but he went to his God,

            Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;

            This was the true meaning of his words. That was, the Comforter would come to reprove the understanding (faith) concerning the crucifixion of Jesus. He would correct the faith which was assumed as the righteousness. The Comforter would correct that righteousness because that righteousness was not in accordance with the real event,

            Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;

            The Comforter needed to correct and reprove that righteousness because it was not in accordance with the true event. Faith which they assumed as righteousness was not in accordance with reality. The true event was Jesus was not crucified but he went to his God. He was elevated to Allah. That was the true event,

             Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;

            The Prophet Muhammad was appropriate with the characteristic of the Comforter which Jesus said. He was given revelation by Allah to reprove the Christians and the Jews concerning the crucifixion of Jesus,

            "And [for] their saying, "Indeed, we have killed the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, the messenger of Allah." And they did not kill him, nor did they crucify him; but [another] was made to resemble him to them. And indeed, those who differ over it are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption. And they did not kill him, for certain.  Rather, Allah raised him to Himself. And ever is Allah Exalted in Might and Wise.(Annisa:157-158)

            That's why Allah told Jesus to say and use the term "righteousness". This term was used because it would be believed by the world that Jesus had been crucified. The crucifixion of Jesus was believed as the historical fact by all Historians. This tragedy was assumed as a mere occurrence which transformed to be central dogma of the Christians.
            Whereas, the real event was Jesus was not crucified. He was saved by Allah. The event which they believed as righteousness was not true. Therefore, he said that the Comforter would come to correct it. It must be corrected because it was not true. The true event (righteousness) was Jesus was not crucified, but he went to his God.

Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;

            Muhammad was appropriate with the characteristic of the Comforter. He reproved their faith and said like what Jesus said that was, he was not crucified but going to his God. The prophet Muhammad brought revelation which said that Jesus was not crucified but elevated to Allah,

            "Rather, Allah raised him to Himself. And ever is Allah Exalted in Might and Wise."(Annisa:158)

            Another evidence was his saying that his disciples would not see him anymore. Explicitly Jesus said that they wouldn't see him anymore. They wouldn't meet and see him again because, verily he would go to his God. He was elevated to sky to go to Allah. Whom they saw crucified was not him,

            Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more

            And of course, as he said, Koran also justified his saying. In Koran, it was said that some Jews, who wanted to kill Jesus in that time, were disputing about person whom they thought Jesus. They were doubtful and not sure if the person they crucified was Jesus. The others were persistent with whom they arrested.

"And indeed, those who differ over it are in doubt about it. They have no knowledge of it except the following of assumption. And they did not kill him, for certain.” (Annisa : 157)

Why were they doubtful? Hadn't they planned this action orderly?. Were the people who had been completely sure one hundred percents with the plan they made can be uncertain when they were doing it?
They were uncertain because the person whom they arrested was not Jesus. He was someone who was resembled to Jesus. Someone who was resembled was not same with the original. One thing that we have to know, those, who wanted to arrest Jesus, were people who had ever seen him. They knew his face, they knew his body and nature, and they also knew his voice. But, when they arrested him, he didn't look like Jesus whom they usually saw. He was completely different from usual. That was why it emerged doubt in themselves. They actually doubted if the person they crucified was Jesus.
            How could Allah let his messenger killed and tormented by such way and become spectacle and mockery of the unbelievers. Wasn't it tragic and very deplorable. See how Allah saved Abraham when he was going to be burnt in the sight of many people. See how Allah saved Moses and his people, when they were being chased by Pharaoh and his troops who wanted to kill them. See how Allah saved Muhammad, when the unbelievers of Quraisy wanted to kill him by sending young men with their swords. All of their plan were destroyed. Did Allah just let his messenger crucified and tormented?.
It was very easy for Allah to raise Jesus to heaven and resemble other person's face like his face, as it was very easy for Him to give Jesus many miracles he did.

            Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;

"Rather, Allah raised him (Jesus) to Himself. And ever is Allah Exalted in Might and Wise."(Annisa : 158)

           Then, Jesus said that the Comforter would come to reprove the people's understanding about judgment,

Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

The judgment that Jesus meant was the judgment which will he do when he descends to earth. In Christianity, it was called by Parousia or the second coming of Christ. The Muslims also believed that Jesus will descend to earth in the end of times. Jesus said that later, when the Comforter came, he would reprove his followers for the judgment they believed.
            The question is, why did Jesus say that the Comforter would reprove his followers for the belief of judgment? What's wrong with their belief? Why did the Comforter need to reprove them for the belief of judgment?.
            Before answering that question, we have to know the belief of Christians concerning judgment which will be performed by Jesus when he descends to earth. All Christians believed that Jesus will descend to earth in the end of times. The Christians believed that Jesus would judge the live and the dead. They also believed that Jesus will raise the people who had died. There will be raising of the dead from their grave. People who believed in Jesus will live again and sharing in the Kingdom of God. This was the belief of the Christians concerning judgment.
            Then, if the Comforter came, he would reprove the belief of judgment. He would say to them that the true judgment was judgment against prince (leaders) of the world.

            Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

Jesus will be a judge for all human race when he descends to earth. He will judge them with very justly. When the case and matter of human race were judged justly, the world condition will be in harmony. In that time, the Kingdom of Heaven which was waited by all of his followers will be soon established.
This prophecy was appropriate with Prophet Muhammad. He ever said that Jesus would descend to become Judge who judges the people justly. Prophet Muhammad said,

"For the sake of my soul which was in His grasp, the descent of Son of Mary (Jesus) among you as a just Judge is imminent. He will break the cross, kill the pig, stop the war, and give wealth until no one wants to accept it again, until one prostration is better than the world and its substance."Then Abu Hurairah (prophet's companion) said, "read it if you want,

"And there is none from the People of the Scripture but that he will surely believe in Jesus before his death. And on the Day of Resurrection he will be against them a witness."(Annisaa : 159)

Jesus will become leader of the world in that time. He will become a Judge who judges the case of the people which involves their leaders. In that time, all Christians will make him as a Leader and they will believe with the true faith that is Islam.
            The Prophet Muhammad's words above were also justified by Prophet Isaiah. It was said that the Promised Messiah will become Judge for all nations in the world,

"He shall judge between the nations, And rebuke many people; They shall beat their swords into plowshares, And their spears into pruning hooks; Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, Neither shall they learn war anymore. (Isaiah2:4)

It was also said that there will come in the latter day an offspring of David who will judge the people of the world justly,

            “There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, And a Branch shall grow out of his roots. The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord. His delight is in the fear of the Lord, And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, Nor decide by the hearing of His ears; But with righteousness He shall judge the poor, And decide with equity for the meek of the earth; He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, And with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked. Righteousness shall be the belt of His loins, And faithfulness the belt of His waist. (Isaiah: 11 : 1-5)

Jesus was the offspring of David as said in the New Testament.
Afterwards Jesus said again,

            I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth:

            His words indicated that there were many things which he wanted to say. There were many things which the disciples should know. As if he wanted to say to his disciples that after his departure, there would be many events and occurrences. That's why he really wanted his disciples knew what he knew so that they wouldn't go astray after him. But, he knew that they wouldn't be able to bear them all. Jesus convinced them that when the Comforter came, he would explain to them the whole truth.

            I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth:

           Then, what truth did Jesus mean? What did he mean as the all truth?

            he will guide you into all truth:

The truth which Jesus meant was the all truth. That was, the all truth which covered all events and disputes after his departure. That's what he meant as the all truth. In the beginning, he already said that he had many things to say, because there would be many events and occurrences which influenced his teaching and his existence. There would be many factions which each of them claiming the truth. But, Jesus said that later, the Comforter would come with the all truth. He would explain the truth which guided his followers to his true teaching. He would say the true and absolute truth. That was, the truth which came from the God who sent Jesus.
The parable which was related between Jesus and the Comforter was like two brothers who have same mission and work. Below is the parable,
One day, you have a promise with your father to talk about an activity. But, because Allah destined other, he must go to an important meeting, he doesn't have much time to give you direction about something that had been promised to you. He knew that the time was less, and if it was said now, it will be unclear message. Then your father said that later, his younger brother, who is also your uncle, will come to give all duties and messages that have to be done. Because, your uncle also have roles in that work so that he will tell them to you. Certainly, your uncle will say longer and much more than your father because, he has much more time and more cognizant because of the roles he has. I am sure you definitely believe everything what your uncle said. I am sure you will not ask: why it should be like this or why there should be like this, because at the beginning, your father had already said that your uncle will come to tell all things that have to be done.
That is the parable which was related between Jesus and the Comforter. The Comforter would come with the all truth about Jesus because he came with the truth and revelation which were given by his God. He had same mission and guidance with Jesus. He didn't come to spoil his message or to decrease the law which he gave but, he came merely to give the all truth, truth which came from his God.
Jesus guaranteed his followers that all what the Comforter said was truth. All what he said was an absolute truth. They don't have to be doubtful or re-asking the truth. That's why the Comforter was called by Jesus as the Spirit of Truth. It means everything what he said was true and in accordance with Jesus' teaching.
Why was the Comforter able to say the truth about Jesus and his teaching completely? Whence did he know the all truth?. Did he learn from a Pastor who made him well versed in the history of Jesus' life. Or he may learn from the history books?.

for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak

He knew all truth and matter related to Jesus because all of them were Allah's words. All the truth was coming from revelation which he heard from Gabriel. Allah had given him all truth which was for along time concealed from the true reality. The Comforter could know all truth concerning Jesus and his teaching because he heard revelation which was given by Gabriel to him.
That was, the truth which would reveal the true teaching of Jesus. The truth which would show the original teaching which he left to his early followers. The truth which would guide them to his genuine message. The truth was Holy Koran.[3]
The Comforter wouldn't say according to himself. He wouldn't say something which was coming from his own desire. What he said was merely revelation which was sent down to him. He wouldn't claim himself as a prophet but he himself who was chosen by Allah to warn his people. He was the messenger of Allah,

            “And [mention] when Jesus, the son of Mary, said, "O children of Israel, indeed I am the messenger of Allah to you confirming what came before me of the Torah and bringing good tidings of a messenger to come after me, whose name is Ahmad." But when he came to them with clear evidences, they said, "This is obvious magic.”  (Ashoff : 6)

The Prophet Muhammad, with all of his teaching, was revelation. He never said something what his desire wanted. It was proven with the purity of his teaching which was free from every ideas and thought of human in that time. Allah said about the revelation which was sent down to Prophet Muhammad,

            It is not but a revelation revealed (An-najm:4)

The Prophet Muhammad was same like most of his people who were illiterate. Could an illiterate know important events in the past which the learned men never knew. Below was the story of Mary when she was in pregnant of her son, Jesus, to a remote place,

“So she conceived him, and she withdrew with him to a remote place. And the pains of childbirth drove her to the trunk of a palm tree. She said, "Oh, I wish I had died before this and was in oblivion, forgotten." But he (Gabriel) called her from below her, "Do not grieve; your Lord has provided beneath you a stream. And shake toward you the trunk of the palm tree; it will drop upon you ripe, fresh dates. So eat and drink and be contented. And if you see from among humanity anyone, say, 'Indeed, I have vowed to the Most Merciful abstention, so I will not speak today to [any] man.'" (Maryam : 22-26)

Could we imagine how detailed was the revelation sent down to Muhammad. Is there anyone who can answer whence did he know this story. Is this from a Monk, Pastor, or Historian?. Was it possible for an illiterate person saying this amazing and true story?. This story was just a few from abundant stories which Allah said to Muhammad about Jesus and his mother. It became evidence that all words in Holy Koran were not his words, but all of them were the Words of Allah

            for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak

           Then, the Comforter would say about events which happened in the future or end of times,

and he will shew you things to come.

            This prophecy was also appropriate with Prophet Muhammad. He said the signs of Last Day which happened in the future. All of them can be seen in Koran or Hadits, especially the second coming of Jesus in the earth,

"For the sake of my soul which was in His grasp, the descent of Son of Mary (Jesus) among you as a just Judge is imminent. He will break the cross, kill the pig, stop the war, and give wealth until no one wants to accept it again, until one prostration is better than the world and its substance."

           There was a wisdom why Jesus will break the cross and kill the pigs. Cross was a symbol of sin redemption and worship to him. Then, if he descends, he will say to all people that those two teachings were not his teachings. He will break the cross with his own hand as a symbol of abolition of the two strange teachings. If we study the history of Christianity, we would know that sin redemption was a teaching which came after his ascension to Heaven. Jesus never taught that teaching.
            And also for the pig, this meat was forbidden by the law of Torah and Koran. When he descends, he will kill them as a symbol of abolition of the strange teaching which allowed eating pig.[4]
           Thirdly, he will stop the war and confrontation which happened between one nation and another nation. This prophecy was justified by Isaiah. It was said in that book that the promised Messiah will stop the war. Human race will stop learning how to war and they will annihilate their weapon,

            "He shall judge between the nations, And rebuke many people; They shall beat their swords into plowshares, And their spears into pruning hooks; Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, Neither shall they learn war anymore. (Isaiah2:4)

            Then, he will give abundant wealth to all people who live in that time. One of the cause is because Allah opened the doors of blessing from sky and the earth so that wealth is so abundant. Another cause is because in that time, the wealth of the world has just been owned by the Antichrist and his followers. When Jesus descends, he and the Muslims will kill them all. As a result, the wealth of the world will be possessed by them and they will distribute it to all people.
            In the book of Isaiah, it was said that when the promised Messiah comes, people will be given abundant wealth. They will be given abundant wealth by the promised Messiah,

            “Ho! Everyone who thirsts, Come to the waters; And you who have no money, Come, buy and eat. Yes, come, buy wine and milk Without money and without price. Why do you spend money for what is not bread, And your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, And let your soul delight itself in abundance. Incline your ear, and come to Me. Hear, and your soul shall live; And I will make an everlasting covenant with you (Jesus) —The sure mercies of David. Indeed I have given him (Jesus) as a witness to the people, A leader and commander for the people. Surely you shall call a nation you do not know, And nations who do not know you shall run to you, Because of the Lord your God, And the Holy One of Israel; For He has glorified you.” (Isaiah 55:1-5)

            Could you note, the promised Messiah will offer them abundant wealth. He will give abundant wealth to all people. In one Hadits (prophet Muhammad’s words), it was said that the leaders of the Muslims in the latter day will distribute unlimited wealth. It means the condition of people when Jesus reigns is prosperous.
            The last, Jesus said that the Comforter would glorify him. He will make his name respectable and exalted in people's sight,

   He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

            The Comforter would come to glorify Jesus. He would tell to all people that Jesus was Allah's chosen servant. He was the messenger who was sent to Israel. He was the Messiah who was promised by the prophets to come to his people. He would glorify him and make him respected.
            This prophecy was appropriate with Muhammad. He had glorified Jesus with respectability that was in accordance with his degree. He brought revelation which called Jesus as Messiah, Prophet, and His chosen messenger. He didn't glorify Jesus with very exceedingly over than his position like what the Christians did. He glorified him and made him as prophet believed by the Muslims.
            Islam is on the right path in glorifying Jesus. As it was known, people were grouped into three clusters in viewing Jesus. The first was Judaism. They accused Jesus with false accusation. They considered Jesus as false prophet who claimed to be Messiah. In Talmud, it was said some accusations against him and his mother. The second was Christianity. They believed Jesus as son of God. They revered him, worshipped him, and prayed to him. They glorified Jesus incorrectly. They glorified him excessively. And the last is Islam. Islam placed Jesus on his true degree. Islam respected Jesus as one of messengers whom Allah sent. He was the messiah whom Allah promised for Israel. In Koran, it was said the story of his mission, his miracles and his teachings. All of these are proof that Islam respected and exalted Jesus with the best respectability.
            Why was the Comforter able to glorify Jesus? How could he do that?.
            The Comforter could glorify Jesus because he was given revelation by the God who sent Jesus. He could glorify Jesus because he was a messenger who had closeness with Allah. So that he could say to all people about the respectability and honor of Jesus.

 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

            That was the meaning of his words above. Jesus wanted to say to all people that the Comforter could glorify him because he was given revelation by Allah. It means all things what the Comforter said was merely Allah's possession. Because, the Comforter's words were Allah's words. And the revelation which was given to him was same with the revelation given to Jesus. Jesus was also given revelation by his God. It means all what the Comforter said was merely revelation which he heard from his God.
            The Prophet Muhammad was appropriate with the characteristic of the Comforter which Jesus said. He had glorified Jesus with the revelation given by Allah. He didn't say about Jesus with his own thought but with the revelation. The revelation which he heard from Allah. You could see Jesus in Holy Koran, is there any verse which disgraces Jesus? Is there any verse which humiliates Jesus?. Nothing, there's no verse which disgraced Jesus. All verses in Holy Koran respect and honor him with good respectability. All of these are proof that Allah and his messenger (Muhammad) respect Jesus with  good respectability.

   He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

            Concerning whether Jesus sent Muhammad or not, we have to see his words again,

            Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.[5]

            One thing that should be noted is that we believe Muhammad was not sent by Jesus but, he was sent by Allah the Most Exalted and the Most Sublime. What we can justify from the verses of the New Testament were only that in accordance with our faith and principle. If the verses were in contradiction with our principle, then, we cannot justify them. Our position was not to reject them and not to justify them.
            And for another verse which said that the Comforter was Holy Spirit, we also cannot justify it,

            “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." (John 14 : 26-27)

            Whether he was the Comforter, then we may say, who was the more appropriate with the characteristics of the Comforter? Is he the Holy Spirit or Prophet Muhammad?. was the Holy Spirit heard by human reproving the meaning of sin, righteousness, and judgment?. was the Holy Spirit heard by us bringing all truth about Jesus and his teaching?. was the Holy Spirit heard saying the events which happen in the future?. And have we ever seen the Holy Spirit glorifying Jesus?.
            I am one of those who believed that actually the Comforter that Jesus said was a Messenger like what Allah said below,

            “And [mention] when Jesus, the son of Mary, said, "O children of Israel, indeed I am the messenger of Allah to you confirming what came before me of the Torah and bringing good tidings of a messenger to come after me, whose name is Ahmad." But when he came to them with clear evidences, they said, "This is obvious magic."". (Ashoff : 6)

            The Comforter was Allah's messenger and not Holy Spirit. And Jesus already said that his name was Ahmad. The word Comforter or Parakletos is a substitution of Periklutos which means the praised one and if translated to Arabic it will be Ahmad, another name of Prophet Muhammad. Islamic scholar Alfred Guillaume wrote:

            "Coming back to the term “Ahmad,” Muslims have suggested that Ahmad is the translation of Periklutos, celebrated or the Praised One, which is a corruption of Parakletos, the Paraclete (Comforter) of John XIV, XV and XVI."

            It was strengthened by the meaning of Periklutos in Liddell and Scott`s celebrated Greek-English Lexicon. Periklutos means: "heard of all round, famous, renowned, Latin inclytus: of things, excellent, noble, glorious".
            I am one of those who believed there was alteration concerning the Comforter in the New Testament. Holy Koran had revealed the hidden alteration of the New Testament before the modern scholars did today. The Gospel we see today is not same with the Gospel of the early followers of Jesus. There had been several alterations which influenced the teaching and existence of Jesus.

            Bart D. Ehrman (American New Testament scholar) said in The Orthodox Corruption of Scripture (1993),

            "My thesis can be stated simply: scribes occasionally altered the words of their sacred texts to make them more patently orthodox and to prevent their misuse by Christians who espoused aberrant views."[6]

            As it was known, Allah explicitly said in Koran that the books before Koran were altered. Those books were altered by some people so that they will be matching with their false understanding. They changed them so that the content would be in accordance with their ideas and thought. And the result was deviation which cannot be dammed alighting the people who read the books. Allah said about the alteration of the books before Koran,

            "So woe to those who write the "scripture" with their own hands, then say, "This is from Allah," in order to exchange it for a small price. Woe to them for what their hands have written and woe to them for what they earn." (Al-Baqarah : 79)

            Allah said that there were some scribes who had a duty in writing the scriptures but they added strange words deliberately. They changed and altered some words to gain worldly matters. It didn't only mean they did it for small price but it also meant to strengthen the view and thought which they belong to.
    The alteration of the verses of the New Testament was an undeniable matter which would ask every Christians’ faith for the light of reason and genuine faith. What you believe as righteousness is could be falsehood according to the original. When you believe Jesus is God then he could be a mortal prophet according to the first scripture. And what you believe exists in your faith but it could be nothing in the Ebionites' book. And surely, what you believe the Comforter is Holy Spirit, then he could be a Messenger. We will never know what truth should we believe except we have known the truth itself.
            Mr. C.G. Tucker Says in “The history of the Christians in the light of modern knowledge” p. 320:

            “....Thus Gospels were produced which clearly reflected the conception of the practical needs of the community for which they were written.  In them the traditional material was used, but there was no hesitation in altering it or making additions to it, or in leaving out what did not serve the writer’s purpose".[7]

Moreover, Jesus also said that the Comforter would bring his followers to his teaching and remembrance,

            Prophet Muhammad is more appropriate with the Comforter than Holy Spirit. He taught us all things which Jesus ever said. He brought us to the remembrance of Jesus' teaching. There are some similarities between Muhammad's messages and Jesus' teaching. Among those are this verse,

            "The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; the Lord our God is one Lord.” (Mark 12:29)

            And compare to this,

"[Jesus said], "And indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. That is a straight path." (Maryam :36)

            And there are still other messages which shared same remembrances between Koran and the New Testament that I can't put in this book. The Comforter is Allah's messenger. The messenger who was sent by the God who sent Jesus. The Comforter's God is Jesus' God. And both are His messengers who would strengthen the path of righteousness for the people of the world. To pave the way of salvation to mankind. That's why the Comforter could bring
remembrance what Jesus said. He could do that because he was a messenger same like Jesus.

 “And [mention] when Jesus, the son of Mary, said, "O children of Israel, indeed I am the messenger of Allah to you confirming what came before me of the Torah and bringing good tidings of a messenger to come after me, whose name is Ahmad." But when he came to them with clear evidences, they said, "This is obvious magic." (Ashoff : 6)

[2] They believe Jesus as false Messiah and they also believe his mission and teachings as violation against law of God.
[3] For only Holy Koran that revealed all things related to Jesus. The Koran gave us complete and comprehensive informations about who is Jesus, what is his message, what is the story of his life and death, who are his followers, and many other things about him.
[4] All strange teachings which spoiled Jesus’s messages were coming from Paul. He was someone who stained and corrupted the real teaching of Jesus.
[5] But, in another verse it was said that his God who sent the Comforter. Read in John 14 : 26 : ““But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name
